Inequality

I have just started to work on inequality.This blog is an attempt to keep tracks of my readings and of insights.

Yesterday, I begun by going through Acemogu (2002) . It is an impressive paper with many references. The objective of the paper is to survey and assess the various possible interpretations of the impact of technology on earnings inequality (mainly in the us)

There are some puzzles here. First, why some countries US, UK undertook a rise in inequality and others not (F, Jap), while thetechnology is almost everwhere. It could be linked to the diffusion of the technology. Second, why there is a pause in the inequality in the us in the 90.

I will try to sumerize the main arguments.
